USB Install

Yo guys,

Basically I have my downloaded version of Windows 7 on my disc. What would be the best way to transfer it to my PC as a ISO?

As I know that many USB install programs for installing windows 7 on a PC require a ISO.

Is there any tutorials or a best way to do this?

I just ripped a ISO from my disc, but it will not work in the windows 7 USB tool software and says not a valid .iso file.

It got to where it shows the windows sign is then my keyboard goes off and monitor stays at a black screen, not sure what to do.

I dont know whether you just ignored what I put down on the thread or what.. I tried getting the .iso from my disc but it says not valid when i try to input it into the windows 7 tool.

Tried that it boots to the windows sign but then goes to a black screen. Not sure what to do now!

Grab an official ISO from http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-from-digital-river/

Use Rufus to 'burn' it to USB. http://rufus.akeo.ie/

Mate my download speed is terrible as you know, can I not get a clean copy iso from disc? And I will try that rufus!

Okay steven ill try that soon aswell, I think my current way works but just freezes or something when It gets near to the setup screen.

Tried all ways on the USB, all go to a black screen after the windows sign, Not sure wtf is happening!

Worked flawlessly for me twice now

Remember to format the USB drive to NTFS if using the full ISO method.
