The front USB port cable is definitely in the correct socket on the motherboard?
Just a quick check eliminating any wiring issues :)

Is the usb port loose?Or maybe check the cables at the back of the port, and the connections at the mobo end.

It seems to be just the one port.

It does it on more than this OS.

The cables aren't loose, once its in, and doesnt shut down, you can give it a good wiggle, and it doesnt do anything.

Well,if all the cables are secure, and its only happening on that 1 port,it would suggest that its the port that is faulty...maybe contact CM and see if they will replace the front usb panel...and if that fails, they do have a parts website.
