Hi guys, was wondering what is the best USB KVM switch with hot keys. I need to connect my laptop which only has USB ports and my PC which has a USB mouse (mx1000) and keyboard.

was looking at the belkin 2 port USB one.

thanks

I have a D-Link 2 port USB switch.

It has a USB port for extras such as printers and other stuff, but i use it with a USB splitter for my mouse and keyboard, with the PS/2 plugs not used. You only need to have the PS/2 plug from the mouse plugged in as well for it to be recognised by the computer. Works well with little recognition time.

I'm happy with it.

I don't use the PS/2 part of it as i say, i use a USB mouse + keyboard plugged into a splitter, then into the KVM.

The PS/2 mouse cable from the KVM needs to be plugged into the computer for it to recognise that it's there.

I think theres a D-Link USB only KVM on the market as well, best to check their site.

found a belkin usb one with audio support but some reviews didn't seem too good. Is this a good model? it is the ones with just wires and a small box.

thanks
