Last winter I foolishly lost my USB memory stick with some work stuff on it, none of which was too important or sensitive. I believe I lost it outdoors, it was a fairly crappy USB issued by my work but I was wondering if it was likely to still work if found by somebody.

This was over 7 months ago now and it will have been through a very harsh winter in the NE of Scotland plus the buckets of rain we have had this summer.

Any comments on wether or not it would have survived?

Cheers

There was an article last year about how one had been frozen in a foot of water for 2 years or something and still worked. So i'm going to say yes.

If it's dried out and intact then I'd say it will work.
There was one feature a website did a good few years ago where they boiled one in water.
Still worked... :D
