USB MIDI

Hey guys,

My sisters electric drumkit supports USB MIDI. Does anyone have any idea how i can use this?

I assume you can get a program for a PC that lets you control all of the drum kits settings but i cant find one.

They are a Spur TD82.

what are you wanting to do? use the kit to trigger sounds on a pc and record etc? I will give you more info once you tell me what your goals are, got a lectric kit myself and use to record and play through PC - namely EZdrummer

ive been told that i can use software to record the notes she plays and export them to sheet music...

Have a look for Reaper. Or something like that

yeah, you'll need a program - i know for a fact you can do that on cubase sx 3 and beyond (probably on earlier versions too) it's quite straight forward.... get the software first, it's easy to do.... you can also do this on sibelious

also bear in mind that the onboard sounds on cheap kits sound awful, if you get a program like EZdrummer then you can use your kit to trigger very very good sounds making a cheap kit sound like a million dollars...
