This may sound like a really daft question. But I am upgrading from a Z390 board to a Z590. My case which is the fractual design vector rs. It has a USB 3.1 Gen2 slot on the top of the case. Now the new Asus mobile that I have has a USB 3.2 Type-C header. Can I stick the cable in this header or will I no longer be able to use this USB slot?

Thanks

I think type-c is a different connector, it's a little thin thingy, so I'm not sure if a motherboard header designed for type-c would be compatible with a type-a port on a case.
