USB stick/Flash drive wont partition to NTFS

I agree with Clark the White.

Just be aware that you have to left click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in theTaskbar Tray to prevent data loss when you remove the drive.

Because of the way flash drives work, changing the partition to NTFS causes more wear to the drives memory chips. However it will enable you to copy single files with a size of 4GB or more to it (such as a DVD).

The only reason to do this would be for large files.

If this is the issue, and you cant get NTFS to work, just use rar or tar and split the files instead.

Doesn't NTFS have a minimum size? I remember trying to format a 1gb memory stick as NTFS, just to see if I could and it complained that the drive was too small.
