USB Stick !

Hi all,

I have a USB flash stick I use for work.

It has stopped working !

When I place it into a USB drive the LED on the USB flash stick falshes / pulses as normal, however I can not see it in windows explorer, and when I click on remove hard ware icon the drive letter appears but not the name of the USB Flash stick !

I am not sure what has happen to it !

Any ideas please !

It's bust.

USB flash drives don't last forever.

It could be something like the interface chip (or whatever it uses to communicate with the PC) has decided to go pop.

Hope you had a backup.

Or it could be something else.

I have tried it inanother USB port and I have tried it in 2 different PC's.
Same results each time

So how can I get this USB stick repaired ! ?

You don't repair it, you buy a new one for a tenner or so. USB sticks really don't last forever, I've had at least half a dozen die on me.

Well I will have to recover the work data first.
Once this is done I will back them up almost daily !
