I've recently bought a powered USB-->IDE convertor to allow me to get stuff off a drive from a knacked PC. Problem is, the drive has two partitions and it only lets me see the one of them - bizarrely, the second one. Is there any reason for this, and any way around it?

The first partition is the original OS partition...

you can use acronis to merge both partions together, also you might find that even if you can get to the folders you want you might not be able to read them or access them, you need to change security values, start in safemode, admin, properties of folder, ownership, i know this as i had done this last night after messing around for ages.

Yeah - not sure how I can do anything with Partition Expert as I'd have to get it into a PC to do that, and that's the problem.

I have a bootable Ubuntu, so maybe I'll try that.
