Quick question here, but do the generic USB to serial cables found on places such as the bay work fine on a MacBook pro 2010 model? Need one for uni work etc
You really need to know what chipset - the quality of the drivers varies a lot. I always try and buy the FTDI models, because I've had good experience with them, and they've got OSX 10.6 drivers available.
