Usb versus Ethernet

is there any difference in speed between the 2 if ethernet is better what is a good one to get (not wireless).I have a 10 meg ntl connection and am using usb at moment but the modem has option for ethernet?

And in English? :confused:

The advantages of not using USB (generally) are:
  • Reduced CPU utilisation
  • No drivers needed (other than network card drivers)
  • USB 1.1 can only do 12Mbps, versus 10/100Mbps on ethernet

As RichDuffy says, you need ethernet to connect to a router too.
