Same thing happens with some of those tinned curries! We had two tins by different companies once. One of them had only a suggestion of spice, the other one was like having a small nuke go off in your mouth!

Will be fine, you have to remember all use by dates have to be well within the time a product goes of, as every identical product will be different.

If you get what I mean.. Crap explanation.

When we visited the IWM in London we were given the opportunity to try some bully beef, circa 1917. It tasted just fine and we suffered no bad effects at all.

I wouldn't worry about sell by dates on cans, they one's you should be watching out for are the exploding ones!
