Use desktop to boost wifi

Hi guys,

I am wondering if I can use my desktop PC to boost the wifi connection to my laptop.

The PC is connected to the router via Ethernet (homeplug adapter) but it also has a PCI wifi card.

Can I take internet in on the ethernet and share it to my laptop via the wifi card?

I am hoping to extend the range that I can access the wifi from the laptop. Sound possible?

Any help would be great

You can via Internet Connection Sharing, should work over WiFi I believe, if you enable AD-hoc mode.
