Use of mayhem coolent.

Personally, I only use 3M Fluorinert FC77 in my loops now. Basically, it's 100% non-conductive, does not congeal or discolor over time (even years). It also evaporates if you have a leak. Anyway, I just drained a 2-year old loop and the fluid was crystal clear.

I also use Primochill colored hose and LED's in my res to get err.. color ;-)

Only downside is the Fluorinert is £85 plus VAT (per-ltr), plus postage from the only authorized distributor in the UK, which I can't name here.

lol should have come to us we have it at £30.00 per kilo pmsl and i work with 3m. All so you seem to have forgotten to say it weight 2x as much as water and all so your gear needs to be good to use it. if you try using it with a cheap res it will crack. All so its not as good at carrying heat away as water or coolants made for pcs so you need to factor in all of this when considering Fluorinert.

Just to let everyone know I performed an entire strip down of my 14 month old WC loop this evening it has run with Mayhems pastel blueberry blue since I built it and there was NO staining at all on ANY of the fittings or tubing.

Top quality stuff :-)

That's good to know, what tubing was it, i've just ordered 2 litres of the pastel blueberry blue for my colour change. Also ordered XSPC tubing this time as opposed to the masterklear i currently have.

I have used XSPC tubing and that has never stained using mayhems pastel coolant, so i would guess its the tubing that your using

I was using Masterklear, but the new stuff to be installed this week is XSPC. All i seemed to suffer was clouding of the tubing according to info in above posts.

Thanks.
