Use USB memory pen as a memory unit for 360?

Tried googling this but didn't get a clear answer - basically I want to be stingy and not buy a memory unit for 360 - so could I use a USB pen to back up some data, such as Forza stuff so I could use my cars on a friends 360?

Could I back up onto the usb stick, then copy it over to friends hard drive?
