Is it worth getting a used hard drive from an electrical exchange place? They'll have a 12 month warranty as with other store purchases, plus they're relatively cheap.
At the minute, I'm just planning to salvage the old desktop's hard drive ; it'll probably be too small, especially as my brother wants his user profile kept (and all his music, yet he won't pay a penny towards the build), so maybe running both, or just getting a 500gb used hard drive?
