as i can't get access to the marketplce on here, is there anywhere else that you guys would reccommend to look for a used PC ?
Buying second hand is the Wild West and "let the buyer beware" is the only rule that applies. All the normal second hand sites are available but it is risky and no way of knowing what you are really getting.

Competitor rules makes giving specific recommendations tricky. But the certain high street chain of pawn shops that specialise in used games and dvds has a decent selection of used hardware on their website and comes with a 30 day warranty on everything
it really does look like i will be building a whole new PC. it's been a while. 15yrs ago it was a hobby. now it's a neccessity. oh well, here we go .
