Used tyres from 2008 ...

Bloke has offered me his 10 laps on trackday Racetecs for £80 ... I'l get 3 to 4 trackdays out of those maybe, at a push ..

Anyhow, when I asked about the age they are Summer 2008 - would you buy them, assuming they look to be in good nick as stated?

Assuming they look in good condition and haven't started to "blue" from too many heat cycles I'd probably have a punt at £80. I paid £80 for JUST a rear race scrub racetec (fitted to a loose wheel and balanced).

Has he only just done the 10 laps this year? or in 2008 and they have been sat for 2 years?

If the latter I would prob push for £40

Found out they were manufactured October 2006 and supplied/fitted in 2008 ... so I have declined!

Having made the leap (for me that is!) to using scrubs and found a decent supplier I am happy and don't really want to push my luck !

Yea I would have done the same mate, dont mind that they are a few years old but if theyve been used and sat for years thats different

Im surprised he was trying to charge you £80 lol! I have paid that for fresh scrubs on the day!
