One thing I've noticed that while all the big Usenet providers have headline retention figures, their indexes are relatively small so while they can keep stuff for ages, finding that older stuff can be difficult.
Anyone know of a USP that has an index which more or less matches their retention? Astraweb and Giganews used to a couple years back, but things seem to have changed.
