User account dissapeared from users

ok i can log on to my user account but when you go into users to go into it it has gone....all i have is default and public...anyone got any ideas thanks. update if i type the location in the title bar i can go to it but looks like its hidden somehow.

Turn on hidden files and folders, sounds like you've right clicked it and selected 'hidden'

You shouldn't be manually creating files or folders at all in the Users folder.

Does your account show up in this screen.

Start, Run

control userpasswords2 (press enter)
 
go to "folder options" found in > Control Panel >appearance and personalise, and on the view tab click on reset folders

Edit: or do as Bledd has said, if you have hidden these folders.

ok my account shows up on the logon screen but not in the user folder where it should be...i think i did make a folder in there last night one called tmp.
 
bledd yes it does mate its there. ok its all coming together i had a problem with office last night i messed with the enviroment variables but cant remember what ive done. also if i make a new account it shows up ok. but i found the dads one and its getting used for tempoary internet files...lol i remember changing a option that pointed to the r drive as i have had ramdisc installed but took it off. lol think ive messed it up.. can i use a new user will the registry entries ive done effect them?

ok sorted it had to make a new user account still got the other as would like to sort it if anyone has anymore ideas thanks.
