ok i have just installed a new hdd in my machine and i plan on using my old hdd as storage once i have transfered evrything accross.
how can i access my data of my old hdd under my user account which is password protected through my new hdd which has windows installed?

you need to clarify more i think. i tried to answer this but everything i write just makes me notice that i don't really know what you intend to do.

You need to add yourself on the permissions list for the folders.
