Just curious,Why is it we are not able to choose our own forum avatars?

im regular on a lot of forums and you can tell who is who by just seeing their custom avatar.

These default ones....

Boring.

I know its not a huge deal,But im curious to why.

I prefer signatures to avatars. The way we have ours set makes it really easy to scroll down and be able to see who's posting without having to flick your eyes to the left constantly. Well, it helps if people use images and not just text like you three have

I know what OP means, it's easier on other forums but you get used to it here and go by signature instead. This does make everyone without a sig (including me) a pain in the backside.

You want something to easily identify yourself and have a PC spec in text where you could have a signature? Just sayin'
