I just got windows 7 On saturday, im finding a little weird. i run the following:
Main OS: OSX
2nd OS: was Vista Now Win7
3rd OS: Fedora
Heres a Few problems i have been having with Windows 7 and would like you to advise me if im doing it wrong, if settings need to be altered or my Installis dodgy or its just windows 7.
All settings at default from install
1. when you open an application there is no way of telling if its open or not, sometimes it display a highlighted sqaure somtimes it doesnt.
2. is just a annyonance why is Classic view in CP called large icons? it took me ages looking for "classic view" to find out its Large Icon View.
3. When i open Defragmentation it takes good 20 seconds to open, when i click defrag/analysis it hides itself. then after 30 seconds later pops back up? telling me the percentage.
4. Speed, People keep bashing me saying its soooo much faster. To be honest i would say its a 2-5% increase from vista if that. is it just people had very bad Vista Installs? or is my Windows 7 slow.?
5. when having more than one window open in say IE theres a double sqaure can i get rid of the double part? its handy but looks ugly.
6. lastly for now, is Microsoft secruity essentails good enough to run on its own as an A/V?
its a fair bit for a few days of usage,
