Well, it's weird. I hate it when Twitch does this. It's SO hard to get a good username on Twitch.
So you select your chosen name but no, it's taken. You go to that person's account - no followers, no videos, nothing. Happens all the time.
Though they may be taking the name just to watch and chat. Don’t need followers or to stream for that.
