using 360 pad on pc

im trying to link a wireless 360 pad to play with my pc

is it possible thru wifi at all?

if not, is it possible to use a 360 pad with the wire charger that plugs into usb?

Yep, wired pad works brilliantly on the PC, especially under Vista, no drivers required, lovely.
Even with the USB charging lead connected, the pad still operates wirelessly, so you'd still need the adapter. :(

You can replace the rubbish microsoft drivers with the XBCD drivers which are much better.
 
I use the XBCD drivers with my wired X360 control and it's almost perfect apart from the slight incompatibility in some games with the triggers.

In Vista too? Did this on XP, but didn't realise you could do it on Vista, cheers.
