I ordered one of these ER230P Car Polisher 230mm, from the rainforest, looks to be a typical design, im not using to get rid of swirls ( always hand washed form day one so swirl free) was really just using it to hopefully apply and polish off the wax coatings.

Anyone have any tips or tricks to using them?..any thing I have read about seem to be the more "harsher" polishing machines that are used to get the top coat to remove swirls etc, is it still okay to use this in the way I want?

Im literally just trying to make it a faster less exhausting experience to get wax on and off.

I've used one of them before and they really aren't very good (sorry).

Besides, waxing a car is hardly the hard bit? Polishing is why you get a machine polisher as that requires the elbow work.

If you can't be bothered with waxing by hand why don't you try something like C2V3. Wipe on and wipe off. Good gloss and durability...

i have something similar and it is pretty useless, the vibration from the motor made it really uncomfortable to use. after one use i went back to hand polishing.

Detailing World have a great forum for all things associated with getting your paint work and polish/wax spot on. Just ask on there and you'll get plenty of info.

(hope I'm not breaking the rule linking to another forum as they aren't competitors or in the same field)

Some very lazy individuals apply wax with a da.....obviously I'm not at liberty to disclose who those individuals may be....

That thing will be useless even for that unfortunately

I always apply my wax by DA says its fine on the bottle, doesn't seem to be worse in any way and it's easier. I always take it off by hand.
