Using a Netgear DG834GT as a "Wireless access point only"

I think in post 9 of your last thread I told you how to do this, I'm also sure there's plenty of similar threads on the forum already that the search would have found but never mind...

1.
Connect a PC directly to the Netgear.

2.
Give it whatever wifi settings you want.

3.
Give it a fixed LAN IP address in the same range as the network you will be connecting it to.

4.
Turn off the DHCP server on the Netgear.

5.
Connect the Netgear to your Sonicwall by one of its switch ports.

Well I was only asking as I have been digging round on google and there are plenty of threads on the web suggesting that its not possible/doesnt work well.
