I got the new 5" Corsair AIO screen addon simply for system stat monitoring i.e CPU temp, GPU temp etc... works very well through iCUE but iCUE does not work on Linux sadly, So could I use some program on Linux to do something similar considering it connects via DP so the system sees it as a 2nd screen, Just to display temps, Usage etc... ?

Haven't made the switch to Linux yet, CachyOS to be specific, Hence the question before I swap over.

Conky was what I used to use for system stats because of how customisable it was. But it's been so long since I used it, I'm not even sure it works on Wayland. KDE/GNOME system monitor is enough for me to watch what's going on and the lm-sensors package for monitoring temps can either be run once or used with the watch command for "real time" monitoring. There are front ends to lm-sensors but most of the modern ones are meant to be viewed in a browser (netdata, grafana and the like) rather than a dedicated app which are usually ancient (such as psensors) and no longer maintained. There are extensions for GNOME that give system details which will fit in the top bar. KDE will have Plasmoids that are available for a whole bunch of system info. From memory there are plasmoids that cover everything from CPU/GPU temp to HDD sizes/used and network devices up/down/bandwidth being used.

I have to be honest I've avoided those LCD screens recently in-part because of the Linux question, but also as the side case of my PC's aren't as visible as they once were.

I did bump into this project on Github; https://github.com/jurkovic-nikola/OpenLinkHub - Open Lin Hub which claims to be for Corsair iCUE devices. I don't know how well it works, is maintained, or relies on AI though.

If it's just a screen cant you just setup an app to be displayed on it?

I use CoolerControl for everything temp and fan related. It has a full OpenAPI so you could quite readily pull whatever data out you wanted into your frontend of choice.

You could get a USB to DisplayPort adapter and pass that through to a VM. Then you can run whatever you want on it without interfering with your main OS.
