using bridges in crossfire

I just stuck two on there for two aesthetics, the other is that i always know where the second one is if one of them breaks, because i know i'd probably loose one of them if it was loose somewhere.

Silly question but are the SLI bridges compatible with ATI cards?

The SLI bridges are solid rather than the flimsy ATI bridges.

I've been running tests on this myself. My cards are stable at higher clocks with the 5770's. I've heard that it doesn't make any difference on the 5850 and the 5870, but no1 seems to know for sure.
All i know is that with 1 bridge on 5770 i could not get an overclock at all without it crashing in benchies! But with 2 bridges I'm back up to 920/1300 and haven't had a single driver failure yet in benchies. That's not to say it wont fail. The only way to know for sure is to try it out for yourself. It would help if ATI told us what the bridges actually transfer.
