Does using DSR change the scaling on the screen or does it fit right on any screen and any DSR resolution setting?.

With AA turned off i can have it at maxed with out performance hit at 3840x2160 X3 DSR and at the moment got it set to 33% in the NVidia control panel. Everything does look fine and a lot better then using AA. I was wondering if using DSR in different resolutions could make the scaling off and make things look bigger or squashed etc?.

No it shouldn't as its the same ratio.

Example : If you are on a 16:9 1920x1080(p) monitor its x1.78 for 1440p and x4 for 4k, the 33% default setting is the Smoothness.

So you say x3 are you sure that is correct for your Monitors ratio/Res if you are I guess looking to get 4k.

DSR is basically Super Sampling and IMO it can look good even in older games, the FPS hit is the same as playing it on a higher RES screen (same as DSR RES you are running).

I would take RES over AA any day and the higher the RES the less AA even matters.

DSR isn't worth it IMO. You can achieve similar results (sometimes nicer) with some heavy AA at a lower perf hit to your frame rate IME.

DSR primarily concerns itself with trying to preserve as much detail from a higher resolution as possible when resampling to a lower resolution the anti-aliasing is a not unwelcome effect of the process. Whereas VSR on AMD is closer to traditional super sampling and tends to have a bit nicer looking edges to DSR.

If you are on 1080p which is the 16:9 res DSR was meant for then you should not be using any kind of smoothing or antialiasing unless it is 1080 on a 27 inch. Basically its meant for 1080p to 4x with 0% smoothing and it looks great i use it pretty much in every game now and its much better than 8xMSAA or Supersampling because no matter which game i try i am always blown away by how good it looks where as every type of Supersampling adds minor blur.

DSR and G-Sync are the two best things in gaming at the moment alongside Dynamic Framerate scaling. If every game had this feature like Shadow of War does and Titanfall 2 i would say stay on 1080p 240hz for 3-4 years and work on making it to IPS or OLED. That is just how highly i think of it even with a little lag its still superior.

Only works with certain DSR factors - if your GPU isn't good enough for the multiples of your native res even if its 1080p it will look better with smoothing.
