Hi all,

Asking in GD as I don't seem to be having much response related to this elsewhere.

Cut a long story short I want to create a page for a business idea. I've tried to sign up under the name, to then being blocked after inserting my card details (ads did not start). I've done this twice now. I've contacted facebook over a week and a half ago and nothing.

Could someone who has knowledge of using Facebook for Ads let me know what I am doing wrong here?

To clarify, I want to represent the business not have a picture of me on the business page (being over the top, but it feels like this is what FB wants?)

Do I need to create a personal FB account and then create a business page/account or can I just make a business account first?

This feels unnecessarily complicated - I've been locked out of 2 accounts now after providing a picture with ID! No response to emails either.

To me it is clear. FB Page (of the business) -> Insert Card Details -> Advertise. I am not sure what is making this so complicated?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Yes, you'll need a personal account to create a business account. If you sign up for a personal account using a business name it'll get blocked.

You create the business page through your personal account, then you can post to your business page as your business using the pictures you upload to the business.

We only use our business FB page now for getting ads posted on Instagram because FB's criteria to get an ad approved is a lot more relaxed compared to posting on Instagram directly.

Ok we recently did somthing at work

Business page is set up and running

Created a new member using a name relating to business but still with a human at end

Got banned in about 15 mins

Did it again

Added friends and so on and can now post as business and share things into groups
