Using FFDShow walkthrough ?

Hi,

trying to confgire my FFDShow properly both video and audio but can find very little information on how to set it all up from scratch.

Anyone got any good faq websites about this ?

The most obvious setting, scaling. Enter in native in the four boxes, and change to < So it'll scale SD to native, but leave anything higher than native alone. Then in settings select Lancos, 2 taps
How is your audio hooked up? Analogue or digital out to av amp? If the latter you need to go into codecs AC-3/DTS to SPDIF

Raw video to all supported

THanks, audio is using SPDIF from my sound card to an AV Amp.

I would love to read a walkthrough on how to configure ffdshow to have the best quality, however I haven't found anything yet.

One option I know which vastly improves ffdshow is from the video decoder go to Output. Then for the top three options only enable "RGB32" and "High quality YV12 to RGB conversion".

This stops the blacks looking grey in video

Thanks for that guys. Anyone got any more tips for making the most of ffdshow? In particular for a 1920x1200 screen
