Hi
As I have recently purchased an 27 imac I wanted to know what is the best way to connect my hard drive which is a wd 1tb black and a Plextor 128gb ssd as external storage to it. It has usb 3 and thunderbolt 2 ports but I am not looking to spend £100's on it.

Going to assume its a iMac with the USB 3.0 upgrade. In that case since thunderbolt enclosures are obscenely priced atm you best option is to go with a usb3 hard drive enclosure.

You just open up the case screw in the hard drive and the enclosure has small circuit board inside so it can connect to your iMac with a standard usb cable (normally included). Cost for 2 enclosures less than £60.

2.5 inch one for the SSD and the 3.5 inch for the larger 1tb drive assuming it isn't a laptop size harddrive. Both matching of course.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Akasa Noir S 3.5" USB 3.0 Enclosure (AK-IC20U3-BKUK) £28.99
1 x Akasa Noir S 2.5" USB 3.0 Enclosure. (AK-IC19U3) £17.99
Total : £52.96 (includes shipping : £4.98).
