Hi, i've had my 32" HDTV setup as an extended monitor for about 6 months now and its never been quite right... the main problem is that it cuts off the edge of the display! (see screenprints below!) The resolution is set at 1280 x 720, but i think my tv displays at 768??

My main question is: Does anybody know how can stop these edges from cutting off! I've tried various software packages but none seem to stop this from happening!

I am using a 7600gt 256mb Graphics card to do this with. Any help would be great!

i don't actually know for certain (ati user here) but i was always led to believe that nvidia drivers had the option built in to specify custom resolutions. have you checked through all the advanced options?

failing that, try powerstrip. :)

Thanks!! Powerstrip worked perfect!! :D :D The resolution is set to: 1222*689 :p weird but it works fine!

i had that same problem its all down to overscan ive got mine @ 1216x692 using nvidia's resize HDTV desktop tool. it wont work with HDMI though probably down to my card being an aging 6600GT wich dosnt support HDCP although using a composite VGA cable it works fine my desktop fits the screen perfectly and the tv picks the signal up as 720p @ 60Hz
