Might seem a simple question

Z68 mobo with 2xIntel SATA3, 4xIntel SATA2 (plus 2xMarvell SATA3).

Not gonna use Marvell for boot array (for reasons irrelevant to this)

If I enable RAID in BIOS then *all* my Intel ports become RAID. I only want 2xSSDs on SATA3 for RAID0. How can I then use the other ports for non-RAID HDDs? Is it as simple as marking them as single JBOD disks? What about DVD-Rom? Will that work when RAID BIOS enabled?

Any drives set to RAID mode that are not in an array will be seen as AHCI drives.

Never had any issues with optical drives either.
