I'm trying to update an EVGA 8800Gt with latest firmware.

I've created a bootable floopy with correct update and nvflash 5.72.

First i create the backup

nvflash -b oldbios.bin

No problems there.. but when i run the update...

nvflash -p -u -f EVGANEW.bin

Doesn't do anything accept give me loads of options, which actually don't tell me a thing.

Have the switches changed? Anything I'm doing wrong?

Ta.

the command i use that always works is :

nvflash -5 newbios.rom

bios can be a .bin or .rom format.

the -p -u -f commands are not needed really.

you only need additional parameters if your flashing a bios which has a mismatched vendor id etc. if its same brand bios and id etc then just use -5 and then the bios name.
