hi guys,

just signed up for quidco and went through their "go to xxxxxx and earn cash-back" link to get to my store of choice to order MGS4...

the order has all gone through but in my quidco account there are no transactions registered...

cookies are enabled and i'm using safari on my mac... any ideas whats wrong? maybe i did something wrong?

From Quidco:

Payments are made on all 'tracked' or 'validated' amounts in your earnings only after we receive the money from the merchants, which usually takes 2-3 months. At this point we will mark the earnings in your account as 'received'. Only then will they be payable to you.

Payments are normally made automatically starting at the very end of the month. Sometimes payments roll over into the start of the new month. The final payments usually go out by the end of the first week in the new month.

Sometimes it takes a few days for transactions to show up. Go back to Quidco and go to the page for the company you used, it will give some info about how quickly things usually show up. Generally for me it was 1-3 days after the order :)

I've never used quidco, but doesn't it take a while for the transactions to show up?

edit - ^^ M M M Multi Post ^^ :p

I have built up £60 and not even been using it a year yet :)

I will probably just keep it going up until I get to like £300 in a couple of years time (Assuming it is still going)

so theres no way to really confirm a transaction has gone through? since it was the first one i have tried and am using a slightly less-known browser i wanted to know if it all worked...

i guess we will see if this works as i have time before the despatch due to it being a pre-order... but if it was another title the game wold be dispatched before i have a chance to check it all validated, and if it didn't for whatever reason then i loose out...

i'll post back if it works in a few days... thats if they even show up on preorders since the payment doesn't go until dispatch...

I believe pre-orders won't show up until payment has been taken. Haven't pre-ordered anything myself but I'm sure I've heard that said before.

On the other hand, I've been using them on and off for a year or so, and have made a few hundred pounds. Big payouts on insurance and opening a bank account helped, but I've had a reasonable number of smaller transactions too.

To the OP - if you want to check whether your setup works generally, try some of the links to search engines which pay for a search - it's only 10p or so, but will at least let you see if things should be tracking. And give it time - I've had transactions take a few days to show up, but the vast vast majority have been fine for me. If it still doesn't show after a while, you can submit an earnings enquiry, which can be used to follow up on non-tracking transactions.

In the end, I wouldn't advise buying stuff from Quidco in the expectation of getting the cashback - treat it as a pleasant bonus if it works out. Payments take a while to come through, and sometimes they just don't happen. That said, I've made more than enough to keep me happy, and I don't even use it that much!

I usually use a separate browser for quidco and make sure I clear cookies and history before each use, so if you regularly browse with firefox do all your quidco via ie.

Don't worry, it has worked on EVERY one that I have done.

Same here, I use Quidco all the time. Give it a day or so and see if it's tracked, also check the tracking speed for that retailer, they all differ.

I have about £55 going into mine next month :)

Me too. BUT pre-orders do not even get tracked until they have been shipped. In most stores the blurb says this. The blurb usually answers all your questions.

I got £65 tracked an validated within a day when I booked a hotel room through them. But I have some jersey stores purchases which after two months are still only tracked. As everyone else says, each store takes different amount of time, but Quidco gives you that info.

I got £25 for taking an Egg card, which I never activated :)
Oh and £25 the other day for signing up to Coral :)
Thanks for that, I've just signed up to Egg too... although it's only £20 now :\ Still a free £20 is all good :D

On that Coral one, do you actually have to pay in £10 and make a bet in order for the quidco to pay? It wasn't 100% clear in the notes.
