Using server memory in PC

upgrading an old PC with GA-G41M-ES2L (rev. 1.0) motherboard but the memory is very expensive

however there is loads of ex server memory on Ebay at much better prices


and idea if this will work ?

Are we talking ECC memory? If not it's very doubtful that motherboard will support it

I think ECC yes, I have seen it work in some PC bds in past , obv without ECC functionality

G41 boards dont support ecc memory
