I would like to use my soundsticks iii pc speakers with both my pc and ps3, not neccessarily at the same time although that would be good but I want to be able to switch between pc and ps3 sound.

I'm using the speakers just with my ps3 right now, my speakers are plugged into the monitor headphone output. The monitor I'm using doesn't have speakers.

I have two soundcards in my pc (don't ask why) a creative titanium hd and a asus xonar ds. I'm using a logitech g930 for all my pc sound.

Is there anyway I could do this using what I already have? If not what do I need to buy.

Thanks!

I dun own a PS3 but i think it is possible to feed the PS3 to a line in/optical in/etc to one of the sound cards? Downside is the PC has to be on if the PS3 is to be in operation

Plugged the monitor into my soundcard line in, which has done what I wanted.

Only thing is my pc needs to be on to get sound from the ps3, but not a issue in my case.

You can buy a DAC cheap that allows the optical out on the ps3 to be converted to an RCA analogue signal. Then buy an RCA To RCA (stereo) cable, 2x 3.5mm to RCA cable for the PC, then importantly an RCA switch. So basically all your audio devices feed into the box which then feeds into the soundsticks?

It sounds expensive but it shouldn't be.

A cheaper solution would be to buy the dac and rca to 3.5mm cable and just plug in the device you're using.
