Using Spotify at work - bandwidth issues?

He's right, it does upload. My housemate started using Spotify a while back and it was crippling the wireless network and internet speed in our flat because of the upload. He now regularly empties the cache folder that Spotify uses and has limited the amount of disk space it can use in the first place, and there's been no problems since.

If you want to stream music, it may be worth looking into standard internet radio streams, if they're allowed. They can tend to be a bit more efficient and there's obviously no upload either.

Personally I find when I'm working it keeps a part of my mind occupied that would otherwise be figgiting for want of a better way to explain it - allowing me to stay fully focused on the task at hand.

Same here, but as I've already said, an MP3 player does that job very well - no bandwidth required. Of course, I certainly won't deny that it is a far more expensive option.

I wish they'd hurry and get the mobile version out - preferrably for windows mobile... my xperia and data plan would make it quite useable.
