The small logo at the top ensures that anyone quickly flicking through a bunch of CVs sees that you're a qualified MCP/MCSA/MCSE/whatever. Tacky? If it lands me an interview then quite frankly I couldn't care less whether some people think so or not.
I wouldn't use a logo on a CV.. I know you are trying to make it stand out but it's not the right way of doing it. As long as you have all of your credentials on the first page, they will be seen...In most cases.
I use the logo's I'm entitled to use in the footer of my CV and personally feel they look anything but tacky - think it just adds that little bit.
But that of course is just my opinion.
