I'm probably being a bit thick but when setting up the amount of CPU usage for the GUI client, is max to the left or right?

I know it's usually max, i.e. 100%, to the right on most things but I have tried several places and the amount of time estimated in the GUI doesn't seem to change...!!!

Left is lower, right is higher. So in that shot its at 100%.
The time estimates take a while to become accurate, you'll probably find once its done a few frames it'll go down a bit. Unless perhaps it needs restarting for the changes in cpu utilisation to take effect...

As far as I remember from way back in the day when I last used the GUI client, right is indeed 100% and I think if you check your log file it will have restarted the core after you've OK'd those settings.

As Joe says it'll take a while to give you a proper ETA (though it's more than happy to give you a totally wrong ETA) so the best you can do is give it some time. :)

The GUI is full of lies and deceit, especially if you restart the client or machine for any reason.

Use Fahmon to keep an eye on things instead.

(Hey, don't look surprised I crunched two whole WUs for team 10 :p )
