As title really. Just a few of questions.

How long can a HDMI cable be? I would need around 5 meters, would that be OK?

How annoying will swapping from monitor to TV be? I already have 2 monitors so this will be a 3rd for my 660ti.

When I put the game onto the TV will I have to move over the sound myself?

Thanks :)

I am going off the brother in laws set up here but I think this is right.

1/ As long as you want. Its said the shorter the better with any cables really but whatever you need.
2/ Bit of a daft question as I dont know what annoys you! :D He sits on the couch and uses a 46inch sammy but has no problems with it. AMD Or Nvidias control panel will fine tune anything tv related.
3/ If you are running from HDMI just make sure you tick HDMI drivers in the GPU install. I know AMD have that option but I havnt used Nvidia for a couple of year. If not an optical cable will also do the trick although I am sure he had to use an amp because he wanted 5.1.

Hope that was some help.

5m hdmi is fineeeeeeeee :D I hvae a 15m hdmi cable going round the edge of my living room from the pc, along the wall, behind the sofa, along another wall and then into my a/v receiver :D

once you plug it it the graphics card will normally detect it being plugged in, you might need to do slight adjustment, like setting it to main/secondary and it's position relative to the rest of the desktop... if you're extending rather than cloning. I have a 24", 27" and have used my tv too (40")... all plugged in at the same time. the HDMI only gets enabled on the pc when it detects my a/v receiver is on and on the correct selection so not annoying at all really :D

sound will either auto switch or you just set the HDMI to be the default device and configure it for what ever speakers you are running it through (2speaker tv or 5.1/whatever if going through something else first) :)
