Using two brands

Hi.

In my setup currently I have Corsair Vengeance Low Profile DDR3 1600XMP 4GB x 2.

I was looking to buy these

Am I right in saying this will work fine but my Kingston ones will reduce to 1600MHz??

Also if this is true what is a better factor?
1. More ram with lower speed
2. Less ram with faster speed

1. 16gb at 1600mhz
2. 8gb at 2133mhz
