    So whats a better choice:

    1. 16gb at 1600mhz
    2. 8gb at 2133mhz

8gb at 2133 unless your doing something which needs more than 8gb.

    I would say without a doubt 16GB.
The reason is your existing memory is CL9 and the new memory, while it has a higher frequency, is CL10, so in fact, it's that much faster than your old memory. You can place the new stuff in, run it at 1600Mhz and adjust the timing to 9 9 9 26 and it will match the performance of your existing ram, which is almost as fast as the 2133MHz setting. You could even possibly reduce it to 8 8 8 24. But, anyway, doing it that way you get the best of both worlds. You get to keep your existing ram and you get good performance.
