Hi,
I would really appreciate some help with this. I have two network connections, wifi and mobile broadband. I'm running Windows 7 with XP mode virtual machine. Is it possible to have the VM running from the mobile broadband and the windows 7 running on the wifi?

Thanks!
Steve

I am not familiar with windows based virtual machines, but the OSX based ones always allow you to control the networks available and thus you would simply deny the virtual machine access to the wifi and allow it to run the mobile broadband?

On w7 you should be able to pick what connection to use and on xp you will probably have to disable the connection you dont want.

I've disabled LAN in the XP mode, which was the only connection. I assume that was the link to the Win7. I found how to get the VM to use a USB drive, and so made it attach the mobile broadband. It's installing and rebooting, so will wait and see :).

Thanks again

It's working. I've asked this question before and got 0 responses... so i'm really greatful. Thanks both of you, you've been a huge help.

Edit: I'm using Windows XP mode, it's something that you can download free with windows 7, you don't need CD keys etc... it's just one all in one thing.
