Using USB adapter to access old IDE drive - How can I see all of it?

Hello folks

I recently got an Inateck Sata/IDE to USB adapter thing to give me a means of occasionally using my old optical drive with my newly built PC. All good.
After I did what I needed to do, I suddenly remembered that I had an old IDE harddrive from 20 years ago lurking around.
I connected it to the adapter and had a look.
I could open the drive but explorer presented it as being only a couple of GB in size, and there was just a few recovery files on there. But when going into disk management it reads it as being about 80GB in size.
How can I access that seemingly invisible part of the drive?
There could be untold sentimental treasures there!

Thanks

You need to have a look in Disk Management to see if there are any other partitions on the drive that need to be given drive letters. Make sure you don't allow DM to create or format any partitions. Another possibility is that the drive was created with some sort of third-party partitioning software in which case it's likely nothing can be done.
