Hi all,

I have purchased a domain (through 123reg) and I would like to use it to store photos, do i just need to find a host and purchase bandwidth?
How hard is it to get the domain name to use email ie. [email protected]?

Any help tips you can give would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Even the most basic kind of web hosting should do what you want it to.

Anything from about £15-£25 should get you a bit of space and some mailboxes. All you'll need to do is point your domain name at your web host's nameservers, and then use your web host's control panel to create your mailboxes etc. :)

Most hosts will generally allow access by IMAP/POP3/webmail.

The other option you might want to consider for the email part is Google apps for your domain which will let you set up a custom igoogle homepage, gmail account etc using your own domain. No idea if any part of the Google solution is any good for photo hosting however you could still get a standard hosting package for that - I'd recommend tsohost.

Can only echo what people have said above. Vidahost and tsohost are reliable, GMail for e-mail gives you uber-space and all their features...
