Lots of swearies in the link

Its something thats been talked about for a while though, restricted content and I for one am in favour of it. Saying that, i'm in favour of any preventative measure as long as I don't get screwed for actually buying a copy.

There's also loads of "swearies" in the comments on YouTube videos, but they're still allowed to be posted. What's the difference?

A lot of links, generally in GD get censored due to excessive amounts of swearing. For one, its against the house rules and I thought i'd post in case anyone for whatever reason found it offensive.

The link seems to provide workarounds for most if not all the issues, which makes somewhat of a mockery of this thread, I mean everyone knows you don't/can't stop pirates right?

BTW this kind of protection has been talked about for years remember codemasters "fade" system? It just gets cracked.... it ALL gets cracked in the end, and usually sooner rather than later.

not realy all it tells you is how to get past a install error and a PhysX error

I have a nvidia free batman code but cant use it i think till 15th sep. Shame, looks like a game id like to play asap too.

Problem is... its usually the honest consumer who falls the most foul of this with false positives... generally the only people affected by this are casual pirates i.e. someone sharing their retail game with a friend... most of the real pirating these hidden triggers are quickly worked around...

Apparently a crackfix already according to the site in the OP. Such things won't do anything more than slow the pirates down for a few hours/days.

I'd be surprised if a fix isn't already circulating. If not then no doubt a group is working on it right now. The majority of annoyances will be occurring for legitimate gamers.

The fix came out hours after the initial leaked release, so unfortunatly another method that has failed. They will never stop pirates.

Was just about to say. It was a matter of about 2 hours before the pirate copy was patched. Considering the game is around 7GB, the fix would have come out before a lot of people had even downloaded it haha

Also, whoever wrote that article needs a slap. It was painful to read.

Anti-piracy measures may be configured/coded on a computer but its still a human that enters the coding and if its made by a human it can be broken by a human....
