UT3 problems.

I posted a similar thread a long while back, but I lost interest in UT3 and can't find the thread.

Anyway, had a blast of Instagib Deathmatch last night and was so fun, but I can't help but notice how few servers there are for deathmatch and all that? Allot of them you might see "6+9" on how many people are in them, lots just have bots in.

I have UT3 on steam, I think it's at 2.1? That the latest? I'm wanting to get some add ons for it? More maps? or anything?

The Steam version should be the most up to date.

Unfortunately not many people play UT3 online. Think it's because when UT3 came out its requirements were pretty big and it was rather buggy. Pity because it's a great game.

I don't know to be honest...I think neither are that popular these days as there's a lot of competition from other multiplayers.

Wouldn't mind having a go at UT3 this PM though...add me on Steam (Mellifluous - the yellow avatar one) and we could try and find a decent populated one.

I have UT3 (not on steam) I keep meaning to reinstall it and see if I can activate it on Steam, though when I played I never bothered with the latest update and I'd say there use to be a lot of people around on those servers.

There is no competitor, apart from Quake Live. All the other FPS MP games offer very different gameplay.

Servers are not always populated, but if you play Battle Team Arena, Team Deathmatch, Instagib CTF or WAR i.e. like me, then you should be able to get a decent game any weeknight. The servers are not chocka but there is a dedicated community that sustains this game.

I've got a problem now with UT2004 too, I've installed the game, used my key which is elgit, and I notice the master server apparently cannot be reached?

Any ideas?
